Ferrari: “Las Vegas will be good for us, we are ready to score important points”

After winning back-to-back races in Austin and Mexico, Ferrari was not as successful in Brazil as it had hoped.

Charles Leclerc finished the race in Sao Paulo in fifth place, while Carlos Sainz could not finish the race due to a crash on the 39th lap.

“We were definitely in good shape in Las Vegas last year,” Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur said of his expectations for Las Vegas after the race in Brazil.

“I think the design of the track is closer to the previous tracks in terms of factors like the asphalt structure.

Ferrari team boss believes Sainz, who crashed in Brazil, will also return strong to Las Vegas.

“I’m not worried about that. I think he’ll come back very strong in Vegas.”

Ferrari enters the final three races of the season in second place, 36 points behind McLaren and 13 ahead of Red Bull.

“I want to gain points, not lose points,” Vasseur said.

“We have to make sure that we have better weekends than Interlagos, but of course what we had there was not a disaster.”

“We will have a much better weekend in Vegas next race and we will get important points,” he said.
