Fnatic, one of the leading esports organizations, has announced a new partnership with gaming furniture brand Blacklyte, making it the official Gaming Chair and Desk Partner for the team. This collaboration will see Fnatic players using Blacklyte’s gaming chairs and desks for both practice and competitive events, and the partnership will also include content creation and limited-edition product releases.
Blacklyte’s Entry into Esports
Originally a smart home and lighting brand established during the pandemic, Blacklyte has expanded into the gaming furniture market with a focus on high-end chairs and desks. The brand has quickly made its mark, already partnering with esports tournament organizer BLAST for events like Rainbow Six, RLCS, and FNCS. This new partnership with Fnatic marks Blacklyte’s first collaboration with a European esports team, signaling its growing presence in the competitive gaming scene.
A Shift in Fnatic’s Gaming Chair Partner
Interestingly, this move follows a previous partnership between Fnatic and Steelcase, a notable name in the gaming chair industry. The change to Blacklyte suggests a strategic shift, as Steelcase is no longer listed as a partner on Fnatic’s website. Blacklyte’s innovative designs and focus on providing high-quality products may have contributed to Fnatic’s decision to make the switch.
Enhancing Player Performance and Comfort
Sam Mathews, CEO of Fnatic, emphasized the importance of providing players with the right tools and environment to perform at their best. “At Fnatic, we strive to provide our players with the best tools to succeed. Blacklyte’s innovative approach to gaming furniture aligns perfectly with our mission to lead in esports performance. This partnership is an important step towards ensuring our players have the best environment to excel at the highest levels of competition,” Mathews said.
The collaboration aims to not only enhance the comfort and performance of Fnatic’s players but also to explore new opportunities through exclusive product lines and content, further solidifying Blacklyte’s role in the gaming furniture market.
