Gregg Popovich’s Health Issue Revealed at Age 75

The reason behind San Antonio Spurs’ veteran coach Gregg Popovich’s recent absence has finally come to light.

Popovich had been away from his coaching duties due to undisclosed health concerns, with assistant coach Mitch Johnson stepping in as interim head coach. Now, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, it has been confirmed that Popovich suffered a “mild stroke” on November 2, 2024.

The report suggests that Popovich is expected to fully recover before returning to his role, but his exact timeline for resuming duties remains uncertain.
