Ivo Grbic: We Want to Keep Winning

Ivo Grbic, the Croatian goalkeeper of Caykur Rizespor, stated that winning is more important than anything else, highlighting his 20 years in football.

Ahead of their match against Sivasspor in the 11th week of Trendyol Super Lig, scheduled for November 2, 2024, at 13:30, Grbic shared his thoughts during training. “Everything is much better when you win. I’ve been in football for 20 years, and winning is the most important thing. In the earlier years of my career, I played for big clubs where winning was instilled in us. We want to continue winning. We want to give our all. We are working to perform better on the field. In the last two weeks, we prepared well and achieved good results, and we want to keep that going,” he said.

“My Defensive Performance is Improving”

Grbic noted that as the team’s performance has improved, so has his own, especially in matches where the defense has performed well. “My performance rises, especially in matches where we defend well. As long as we continue to fight for every ball and maintain good defense, better results will come. We demonstrated that in the last two matches. We have a team that tries to reflect the coach’s ideas on the pitch. The Super Lig is a good league, and sometimes the results don’t go as you expect. We had a good match against Alanyaspor but ended up losing. I see that the team is always working with concentration, and we are trying to reflect the coach’s requests on the field,” he added.
