Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is turning heads both on and off the field. The Pro Bowl QB recently made a headline-grabbing purchase, shelling out $2.99 million for one of only 10 officially licensed, fully functional Batmobiles sold by Wayne Enterprises Experiences. Burrow shared the exciting news during a conversation with teammates Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on the premiere episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North on Tuesday.
“Have I told you I bought a Batmobile?” Burrow casually mentioned to Chase and Higgins during a practice last week. “I don’t get it for like a year, but I bought one.”
As if the Batmobile wasn’t enough, Joe Burrow joked that his superhero purchase would require a little more investment. “I think I gotta go all-in and go for like the expensive batsuit,” he told Chase.
Despite his playful remarks, Burrow, who turns 28 next week, is currently leading the NFL in touchdowns (30) and passing yards (3,337). It seems that while Joe Burrow is gearing up to tackle the football field, he’s also preparing for a superhero-like transformation off it.
