LECLERC: “I’M HAPPY WITH THE CAR DESPITE THE ISSUES”

Charles Leclerc aims for the top spot in qualifying despite an unproductive second practice session due to a red flag.

Last week’s winner of the American Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc, expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the SF-24, even though he didn’t get the desired results from the practice sessions.

According to official Formula 1 data, Ferrari is currently leading both in qualifying and race pace and looks set to be competitive at the top this weekend.

Reflecting on Friday’s sessions and the car’s performance, Charles Leclerc said, “It was a challenging day for me. Bearman was scheduled to take my place in the first practice because we thought we could make it up in the longer second session.”

“However, we couldn’t utilize our extra time due to the red flag caused by George’s crash.”

“But these things can happen; now our main focus is to get the best result in qualifying.”

“The car’s pace has been good from the start, and I felt comfortable. We will see what position we can achieve in qualifying.”
