Leclerc: “The next champion will be Ferrari”

Charles Leclerc believes Ferrari will be the next champion.

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc already has some great achievements on his CV; These include winning at Monza with Ferrari and winning in his home country of Monaco.

Speaking to the Box Box podcast, Leclerc says he has only one goal left in F1.

“Winning in Monaco and Monza was a bigger dream for me than any other race,” says the young driver.

“When you’re a kid, you dream of winning your first Formula One race. Then you don’t think about which race because winning a race is already very special.”

“After I entered Formula 1 and got my first win at Spa, I immediately thought about where I wanted my next victory to be,” he said.

“There were two venues for this: Monza and Monaco. Now I can say I won both in one year. It makes me feel special.”

“But for me it doesn’t matter where I win. I want to win as many as possible and get the world title. That’s all that matters.”

“I feel like we’re doing well at the moment, but it’s a relative sport. It also depends on what other teams are doing. They’re doing very well at the moment, so we have work to do in the coming years, but I believe we can be champions.”

“When I extended my contract with Ferrari, I said that I loved Ferrari very much, but if I want to get the best out of myself, I have to believe in the project 100 percent.”

“I am sure that Ferrari will be the next team to be world champion. We just have to keep working.”
