Liverpool coach’s bitter admission: ‘I’m disappointed’

Even when we beat United, we always kept things in the right perspective, though both the journalists and we were very positive. Of course, we saw things we needed to improve on.

Last Saturday, we didn’t do as well as we did against United, but there were still some things that went pretty well. However, it was a completely different game, and that will also be the case tomorrow. I expect a completely different match against Milan. The type of players they have and their coach’s style of play is very different from Nottingham Forest.

But if we lose a home match against Nottingham Forest, we should be disappointed. When you’re playing for Liverpool, it’s normal to feel disappointed if you lose a home match against a team like Nottingham Forest. Four matches and nine points is a good start, but it’s not a great start, because to have a great start, we should have 12 points by now.”
