At the start of the season, Croatian big man Luka Samanic departed from the NBA and signed with Fenerbahce Beko. However, just before the season began, he parted ways with the team.

Following his separation from Fenerbahce Beko, Samanic’s next destination remains uncertain. According to a report from Basketball Sphere, Samanic has been training with Adriatic League team Cibona, though it is unclear whether the two parties will sign a contract.

On September 13, Fenerbahce Beko announced Samanic’s departure, stating:

“Due to personal reasons, our player Luka Samanic, who has been in his home country for some time, has mutually agreed to part ways with the club. Our club will continue to monitor his situation, and the player’s rights will remain with Fenerbahce Beko throughout the 2024/2025 season.”
