Stefan Savic Joins Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor has strengthened its defense by signing a star player. The club officially announced the transfer of Stefan Savic. The Montenegrin defender was greeted with cheers by the Trabzonspor fans at Trabzon Airport.

Savic’s First Statements

Expressing his excitement about joining Trabzonspor, Stefan Savic said, “I saw our fans, I am very excited, thank you very much.” When asked about the transfer process, he said, “The process was a bit long, but it ended well. I am looking forward to meeting our fans and my teammates.”

During his special flight, Savic was reminded of using the slogan “Everywhere is Trabzon for Us.” He mentioned that he had spoken with coach Abdullah Avcı and they were starting the season with high expectations. After leading the fans in chants, Savic got into the club’s vehicle and headed to the Mehmet Ali Yılmaz Facilities.

Stefan Savic’s Career

Savic began his professional career with Serbian club BSK Borca before transferring to Partizan. After his impressive performances there, he moved to Manchester City. In 2012, he signed with Fiorentina and then transferred to Atletico Madrid in 2015. Throughout his career, Savic has won the Premier League, LaLiga, and the Serbian Super League once each. With Atletico Madrid, he has also won the Europa League and two UEFA Super Cups. The experienced player has also added a Community Shield victory to his achievements. Last season, the Montenegrin defender played in 33 matches for Atletico Madrid.
