Manchester United Eye Ruben Amorim as Potential Erik ten Hag Successor

Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim is apparently the subject of Manchester United’s initial inquiries. Should Erik ten Hag be fired, Amorim is being evaluated as a potential replacement. Amorim has also been connected to Manchester City, where Pep Guardiola, whose contract expires in the summer of next year, may find a replacement in him.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that Manchester United is keeping a careful eye on Amorim’s circumstances and has started to investigate their alternatives. Although United is still devoted to Ten Hag for the time being, it seems like the team is getting ready for any changes. The 39-year-old Sporting manager has shown promise in his leadership in Portugal, and both Manchester clubs appear eager to hire him should a managerial vacancy arise.

As they get ready for life after Guardiola—whose deal with the team expires in the summer—Manchester City is also keeping an eye on Amorim. Since Guardiola’s future is still up in the air, Amorim is a contender for one of the most sought-after managerial positions in international sport.
