Mercedes-AMG is set to turn heads at this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix with a striking new livery to mark 50 years of partnership with PETRONAS. The W15 car will sport a special design, replacing the iconic silver with the signature emerald green of PETRONAS on the front wing and side panels.
Founded in 1974, PETRONAS has grown into one of the top brands in the energy sector and has been a crucial partner to Mercedes since 2010, helping the team achieve incredible success on and off the track.
“This livery not only celebrates 50 years of PETRONAS, but also honors the key role they’ve played in our team’s journey,” said Mercedes team principal, Toto Wolff.
Drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell also shared their excitement about the special edition design. “This livery looks amazing. I can’t wait to hit the track with it on Friday,” said Hamilton. Russell added, “It’s a fantastic design and a fitting tribute to this important milestone.”
The celebrations won’t end in Singapore. After the race on Sunday, Wolff, Hamilton, and Russell will head to Kuala Lumpur to continue commemorating this incredible partnership with events planned throughout the week.
