Montella’s Statement on Kenan Yıldız

Vincenzo Montella, head coach of the Turkish National Football Team, commented on national player Kenan Yıldız, who plays for Juventus in Italy’s Serie A, stating that despite his young age, he is mentally very mature.

Montella spoke to the Italian media, beginning by discussing the 4-4 match between Inter and Juventus, saying, “It was a beautiful match for Italian football. It’s an unusual situation for us. It’s clear that the teams made some mistakes, but we saw a lot of goals, similar to Premier League, La Liga, or Champions League matches. The fans are definitely enjoying it. However, things didn’t go well for Inzaghi.”

Regarding Kenan Yıldız, who came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute and scored two goals to earn his team a point, Montella said, “I am very happy for him. This success came at the right time. At just 19 years old, he became the youngest player to score two goals in a match. He responded significantly in terms of goals. There is a lot of talk about him in Turkey, and he deserves it. Motta surprisingly kept him on the bench at the start. But he came into the game very well. I had no doubt about it because he is a mentally mature kid. He never makes mistakes in his attitude. So far, he has scored extraordinary goals. He should also learn to score the simplest goals.”
