New Season of Türkiye Sigorta Türkiye Basketball League Kicks Off

The 2024-2025 season of the Türkiye Sigorta Türkiye Basketball League starts tomorrow, with 18 teams competing for two spots in the Super League.

The league will begin with the Pizzabulls CO Basket vs. Shipeedy Lojistik Bandırma Bordo game. The first half of the season will end with the 17th week matches, starting on December 20, Friday. The regular season is scheduled to conclude on April 20, 2025, Sunday.

The league will feature 6 teams from Istanbul, 3 from Ankara, 2 from Balıkesir, and 1 team each from Bursa, Gaziantep, Kocaeli, Konya, Muğla, Tekirdağ, and Trabzon. The participating teams are: Balıkesir Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Çağdaş Bodrumspor, Çayırova Belediyespor, Esenler Erokspor, Fenerbahçe Koleji Novotel, Finalspor, Gaziantep Basketbol, Haremspor, iLab Basketbol, İstanbul Anka, Kapaklıspor, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor, MKE Ankaragücü, OGM Ormanspor, Pizzabulls CO Basket, Shipeedy Lojistik Bandırma Bordo, TED Ankara Kolejliler, and Trabzonspor.

Format:

The team that finishes first in the league will be directly promoted to the Super League.
The top 6 teams following the leader will receive direct play-off spots.
Of the next 4 teams, 2 will earn the right to compete in the play-offs after the play-in matches.
The team that wins the play-offs will also be promoted to the Super League.
The teams that finish in the last 2 positions will be relegated.
