French Ligue 1 side Nice has started negotiations to sign Fenerbahçe’s national defender Samet Akaydin on a loan deal.

The French club aims to loan the experienced defender for one year with a mandatory purchase option, as he hasn’t made it into Fenerbahçe’s match squads this season and wasn’t included in the Champions League Qualifiers list.

Although he has been training with the team, Samet Akaydin has not been part of the matchday squads. It’s learned that Samet is open to transferring to Nice. His agent is expected to meet with Fenerbahçe’s management to discuss the transfer.
