Raul Set to Leave Real Madrid Castilla Role with Two Options on the Table

According to Marca, Real Madrid great Raul is getting ready to step down from his position as manager of Castilla, the team’s reserve squad, come summertime. After leading the squad for six years, the former Spanish striker reportedly informed the club’s management of his choice. This information was obtained by Marca. Another club veteran, Alvaro Arbeloa, who currently manages the Juvenil A squad, is expected to take over for Raul. This is a logical move for Arbeloa given his track record of success as a junior coach.

Raul’s Prospects

Raul will be leaving his role with Castilla, although Real Madrid plans to use him in another capacity. There are two choices under consideration for the legendary striker:

Taking a Position as a First-Team Coach with Carlo Ancelotti: In this scenario, Raul would collaborate closely with Ancelotti, with whom he has a tight relationship. Raul would have the opportunity to improve his coaching abilities and obtain priceless experience at the top level of coaching if he joined the first team’s coaching staff.

Administrative Position in the development Academy: Raul might also take on a more administrative position in Real Madrid’s development program, working alongside influential players like Manu Fernandez and Santiago Solari. This position would assist in fostering the next wave of Los Blancos players by concentrating on the development of emerging talent.

Raul’s close ties to Real Madrid guarantee that, no matter what route he takes, his impact there will endure—whether it’s molding the club’s youth or boosting the performance of the first squad.
