Ruben Amorim Hints at Manchester United Move
Sporting CP’s current head coach, Ruben Amorim, has made hints about a potential move to Manchester United. Following the recent dismissal of Erik ten Hag, Amorim is being considered by United’s administration as the new permanent coach. The team is moving forward with negotiations to sign Amorim, although Ruud van Nistelrooy is acting as temporary manager in the interim.
Amorim discussed his intentions in a press conference. He said:
“In life, we all have phases where things are going well, but something feels missing, and we want to take a step forward—even if we don’t know if we’re risking what we have.”
Discussions Between United Progressing and Sporting
Amorim stated that Sporting CP and Manchester United were still in talks. Citing contract provisions that can make transitions difficult, he highlighted the intricacy of the discussions. He did, however, add that it might only take “one more day” for the final decisions to be made.
Amorim gave a straightforward and ebullient reaction when asked what drew him to the Premier League: “Everything!” His obvious love for English football indicates that he is prepared to face the demands of managing in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
