Sasa Obradovic’s EuroLeague Favorites Include Fenerbahce Beko

With the new Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season approaching, Monaco head coach Sasa Obradovic shared his thoughts on the top contenders.

Ahead of a season where three French teams will compete in EuroLeague, Obradovic spoke to Sport Klub about the high expectations at Monaco.

“The expectations at a team like Monaco are always high,” Obradovic said. “We’ve been in the playoffs for the last three years. Now, everyone wants to make it to the Final Four. Making the playoffs is a realistic goal for us, and we can achieve it. Reaching the Final Four would be a bigger step than last season.”

Obradovic also revealed his favorites for this EuroLeague season, including Fenerbahçe Beko among them:

“Some teams have significantly increased their budgets. Among those, I can mention Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Real Madrid, Fenerbahce, Barcelona, Olimpia Milano, and ourselves. These teams are the favorites.”

“I don’t underestimate anyone, and given the work Partizan and Red Star put in last summer, I think they are also strong contenders for the Final Four.”

Obradovic also highlighted Belgrade as having the best atmosphere:
“Whether it’s Red Star or Partizan, the best atmospheres are in Belgrade. Playing there will be challenging. Every place is tough, but Belgrade is very special. I can’t wait to be part of it, and hopefully, we’ll come out victorious.”
