Fenerbahce’s Youssef En-Nesyri, who was signed with great hopes at the beginning of the season but has fallen short of expectations, has attracted surprising interest.
Before the new season, Fenerbahce entrusted the team to Jose Mourinho and conducted transfer activities accordingly, bringing in Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla to strengthen the striker position.
TRANSFER FEE RECORD BROKEN
After considerable effort, Fenerbahce completed the transfer, paying a transfer fee of €19.5 million for the Moroccan striker, who was also linked with Roma. The 27-year-old forward signed a five-year contract with Fenerbahce.
Youssef En-Nesyri, who became the player with the highest transfer fee in Fenerbahce’s history, has so far underperformed, scoring only one goal in 11 matches in the yellow and navy jersey. With his lack of expected performance, a surprising interest has emerged for En-Nesyri.
According to Spanish media Vamossevilla, his former club Sevilla is looking to loan En-Nesyri during the winter transfer window. It is claimed that the Spanish club is preparing to approach Fenerbahce to bring the star striker back to their squad, as he has a contract with Fenerbahce until 2029.
VALUE OF €22 MILLION
The current market value of the 27-year-old player is €22 million. He has played 11 matches for Fenerbahce this season and managed to score only in the Super Lig match against Goztepe.
