The 37th Men’s Presidential Cup in basketball will take place on September 29, Sunday. The big match will feature Fenerbahce Beko against Anadolu Efes. This game will also mark the opening match of the Basketball Development Center.
In the 37th Men’s Presidential Cup match, Fenerbahce Beko will face Anadolu Efes. The Presidential Cup was first held in 1985. Anadolu Efes, having lifted the trophy 13 times, is the team with the most championships. The dark blue and white team has managed to win the last three cups.
Fenerbahce Beko has lifted the trophy seven times. The yellow and navy team finished the last season as the champions of the Super League and the Turkish Cup. Anadolu Efes, however, lost to its eternal rival in both finals.
The big match on September 29 will start at 18:00. This derby will also serve as the opening match for the Basketball Development Center, built in place of the Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall. The main hall, with a capacity of 10,000, will host the major match.
The facility includes federation offices, a national team training hall with a capacity of 1,000, three youth training halls each with a capacity of 500, a Basketball Library, a Basketball Museum, and 3×3 basketball courts.
