After a series of losses in the Süper Lig that disappointed their fans, Çaykur Rizespor management is looking to turn the international break into an opportunity. The team, known as the “Hawks,” has been waiting for the European transfer window to close to make reinforcements to their squad. It has been learned that the club’s officials are planning to make multiple signings this week.

For the center-back position, 25-year-old Djibril Diop, who plays for Viking, has emerged as a primary target. Meanwhile, efforts continue to bring in Halil Akbunar for the wing and Ersin Destanoğlu for the goalkeeper position. According to reports in the Norwegian media, Çaykur Rizespor has reached an agreement with Djibril Diop of Viking.

Ersin Is Also Keen

The report also mentions that the Hawks’ officials are continuing transfer fee negotiations with the Norwegian club and that an agreement is imminent. The Black Sea team has largely reached an agreement with Eyüpspor regarding Halil Akbunar and has already convinced the player. Negotiations are ongoing for Ersin Destanoğlu, who plays for Beşiktaş. It is reported that Ersin, who hasn’t had many playing opportunities at Beşiktaş, is open to the idea of joining Rizespor.
