Tottenham Set to Secure Son Heung-min’s Future with Contract Extension

Spurs to Trigger Extension Clause, Ending Uncertainty Over Captain’s Future

Tottenham Hotspur has extended South Korean captain Son Heung-min’s contract, putting an end to doubts about his future. Son’s current contract, signed in 2021, is set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season, but Spurs intend to trigger a clause that allows them to prolong his stay by another year. According to reports, the club only needs to contact Son to trigger the extension, which they intend to do.

Son’s legacy at Tottenham

Son, who joined from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has sealed his place as a Tottenham legend. Except for his debut, the forward has routinely scored in double figures each season and is now the third-highest scorer among active Premier League players, trailing only Mohamed Salah and Jamie Vardy with 123 goals. His influence on and off the game has made him crucial to Spurs, who are looking to retain his leadership and talents for the foreseeable future.
