In the 8th week of the Super League, Trabzonspor could not end their away victory drought by drawing with Hatayspor. The Black Sea team has only one win in the league, making their away victory drought extend to four matches.
With the 1-1 draw against Hatayspor, Trabzonspor set a record in Super League history by finishing the first four away matches of a season with draws for the first time. The team started the season with a 0-0 draw against Sivas, drew 0-0 with Eyüpspor in the 4th week, and again drew 0-0 with Gaziantep FK in the 6th week. After returning from Hatayspor with a 1-1 result, they extended their away victory drought to four matches. With the draw against Hatayspor, Trabzonspor has now drawn in six of the seven matches they played in the Super League this season.
BANZA CONTINUES TO SCORE
Meanwhile, Simon Banza, one of the new transfers of the Bordo-Mavili team, scored the equalizer for his team against Hatayspor. With this goal, he became the first foreign player to score three consecutive goals for Trabzonspor in the Super League since Anthony Nwakaeme in March 2022.
