Galatasaray identifies alternative for striker transfer

On the last day of the transfer window, Galatasaray made headlines worldwide by securing the loan of the Nigerian striker. While the club is very satisfied with his performance and aims to sign him permanently, they have also identified an alternative to Osimhen.
At the beginning of the season, Galatasaray surprised everyone by loaning Napoli’s world-renowned striker Victor Osimhen until the end of the season. With his performances and sense of belonging in the matches he played in the yellow-red jersey, Osimhen has earned the admiration of both the coaching staff and the fans. Now, Galatasaray is seeking a formula for a permanent transfer.
As Galatasaray’s management looks for ways to sign the star forward, a striking claim has emerged from Italy. It was reported that Galatasaray is seriously considering purchasing the striker’s rights in January and is looking for suitable terms.

Release Clause 75 Million Euros

The star striker’s release clause is 75 million euros, but if any team other than Galatasaray wants to transfer Osimhen in January, this amount will rise to 81 million euros. In the event of a January transfer, 6 million euros of this 81 million will be paid to Galatasaray as compensation.
While Galatasaray management is expected to find resources and start negotiations with Napoli, the high amount and difficulty of the transfer have pushed the yellow-red team to consider alternative strikers.

Paulo Dybala Move

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray’s other major plan for January is Paulo Dybala. The 30-year-old forward’s contract with Serie A club Roma expires at the end of the season, and the club officials have already initiated contacts, aiming to complete this transfer during the winter window.
If the Osimhen transfer does not reach a happy conclusion, Galatasaray is reported to be ready to sit at the table to bring Dybala to their colors.
The Argentine, who has played in 7 matches for Roma, has fallen short of expectations, scoring only 1 goal.

He Can Also Play in Mertens’ Position

According to the Italian press outlet Sportmediaset, Paulo Dybala, whose contract with Roma ends this year, can also be deployed in Mertens’ position. It is highlighted that Galatasaray is prepared to sit at the table with a 3+1 year contract offer and a signing bonus.

Osimhen’s Suitors Are Not Running Out

Meanwhile, Arsenal is reportedly testing the waters for Victor Osimhen, Galatasaray’s top priority in the transfer window. Chelsea, which failed to secure Osimhen during the summer transfer window, is also said to be back in the race for the star player. The English club is reportedly ready to pay the 81 million euro fee demanded by Napoli but has not yet reached an agreement with Osimhen on salary terms. Chelsea is expected to continue discussions with Napoli and make another attempt in January.

Contributed to 6 Goals in 4 Matches

Victor Osimhen has played in 4 matches for Galatasaray this season, spending a total of 303 minutes on the field. The Nigerian forward has contributed to 6 goals during this time, with 2 goals and 4 assists.
