Galatasaray Officially Announces Derrick Köhn’s Departure and Transfer Fee Details

Galatasaray has officially announced the departure of Derrick Köhn. The Turkish club revealed that Köhn has been loaned to Werder Bremen and provided details of the transfer.

Galatasaray first notified the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) about Köhn’s departure, and then made a public announcement on their official website.

The TFF’s Football Information Bank section confirmed that Köhn has transferred to Germany as of today.

Werder Bremen, a team from Köhn’s home country, had shown interest in the player.

Galatasaray later confirmed on their official website that Köhn has been loaned to Werder Bremen. The statement reads:

“Our professional footballer Derrick Köhn has been transferred on loan to SV Werder Bremen GmbH&Co. KGaA for the 2024-2025 season with an option to buy. According to the agreement, if the purchase option is exercised, SV Werder Bremen GmbH&Co. KGaA will pay us a transfer fee of €5,125,000. Additionally, the agreement includes a conditional bonus of €400,000 for the loan period.”

The German left-back joined Galatasaray from Hannover last February.

During his time at Galatasaray, Derrick Köhn made 19 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists.
