Galatasaray, experiencing a busy period in the transfer market, has seen both arrivals and departures. Last night, Kerem Aktürkoğlu traveled to Portugal to sign with Benfica.

Galatasaray announced the financial details of the star player’s transfer. The club disclosed that Aktürkoğlu was transferred to Benfica for a transfer fee of 12 million euros, plus a 10% share of any future sale.
The statement from Galatasaray reads as follows:
“We have reached an agreement with Sport Lisboa e Benfica-Futebol SAD regarding the transfer of our professional footballer, Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu. According to the agreement, Sport Lisboa e Benfica-Futebol SAD will pay our company a net transfer fee of 12,000,000 euros. Additionally, in the event of a future transfer of the player to another club, Sport Lisboa e Benfica-Futebol SAD will pay 10% of the profit obtained from the transfer fee to our club as a share of the next sale.”

JOURNALISTS WERE ALL OVER HIM
Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who traveled to Portugal for a medical check-up and to sign his contract, was met with a flurry of journalists at the airport. Surrounded by Portuguese journalists, Kerem left their questions unanswered and simply said, “Thank you,” as he made his way to the waiting vehicle.
