GASLY: “WE HAD THE TOUGHEST FRIDAY OF THE YEAR”

Pierre Gasly admitted that they had the toughest Friday of the year after a problematic second practice session.

Gasly finished 18th in both practice sessions in Baku. The Alpine driver described the Azerbaijan GP as the ‘toughest Friday of the 2024 season.’

Gasly said: “It’s the toughest Friday of the year, and right now we have nothing.”

“I had a battery issue at probably the worst possible time. So yeah, I had no power left, and Lando came right up behind me. I tried to get out of the way, but it wasn’t a pleasant situation for him.”

“We’re at the back, and we have a lot of work to do tonight. So yes, we will try to bring everything because right now, we are the slowest car.”
