Gedson Fernandes: “Referee Was Unfair!”

Besiktas lost 2-1 to Galatasaray in the 10th week of the Trendyol Super Lig. After the match, Gedson Fernandes made statements.

Gedson Fernandes’ remarks were as follows:

“We accept the defeat, but today’s referee was not fair. We were punished by poor officiating. We were treated unjustly. The cards and fouls—almost every action went against us. In Galatasaray’s second goal, our goalkeeper was not allowed to set up the wall before the referee restarted the match. This is very wrong. The referee starts the match without letting him set up the wall.

I can say that we were somewhat victims of referee injustice today. Like everyone, referees do their jobs, but the decisions, cards, and fouls… The referee’s attitude today was wrong and not very fair.”
