Georgios Bartzokas: “Fenerbahce Has a Great Roster, It Will Be a Tough Game”
Georgios Bartzokas and Evan Fournier shared their thoughts ahead of the Fenerbahce Beko match.
Olympiacos, one of the contenders in the EuroLeague, will face Fenerbahçe Beko in the opening week of the 2024/25 season.
Olympiacos head coach Georgios Bartzokas and NBA recruit Evan Fournier spoke about the upcoming match.
Coach Bartzokas said the following:
“Like all teams right now, we are working hard in training to reach our potential. Since this is the first EuroLeague game of the season, there are a lot of uncertainties. However, we will do our best to win. Fenerbahçe has a great roster, and it will be a tough match. We have a game plan that we must follow, and if we do, we will have a good chance to win.”
Evan Fournier added his thoughts:
“It’s great to start the season by playing against a strong team on the road. I’m excited and looking forward to the game. We’ll have our final practice today and see what happens. When you play on the road, the most important thing is to stay focused, execute the game plan, and play fast. I don’t think I’ll have trouble adjusting to European basketball, as basketball is basketball no matter where you are in the world.”
