Goztepe Defeats Trabzonspor in 90+2

In the 10th week of the Trendyol Super League, Goztepe defeated Trabzonspor 2-1. Goztepe’s Dennis received a red card in the 27th minute.

Trabzonspor visited Goztepe in the Trendyol Super League’s 10th week.

Goztepe’s Dennis was shown a red card for a foul on Banza. The first half ended 0-0. In the 58th minute, Isaac Solet scored to put Goztepe in the lead, but Trabzonspor equalized in the 62nd minute with a penalty goal by Banza. In stoppage time, Tijanic scored the winning goal for Goztepe.

With this victory, Goztepe increased their points to 15, while Trabzonspor remained at 12 points, ending their unbeaten streak.

  • Goztepe coach Stanimir Stoilov made four changes from the team that lost 1-0 to Eyupspor last week, with David Fofana, David Tijanic, Anthony Junior Dennis, and Koray Günter starting in place of Romulo Cardoso, Ahmed Ildız, Kuryu Matsuki, and Taha Altıkardeş.
  • Goztepe players wore t-shirts with “Long Live the Republic” and an image of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk during warm-ups.
  • Trabzonspor coach Senol Gunes made one change, starting Enis Bardhi in place of Muhammed Cham.
  • Trabzonspor’s Eren Elmalı celebrated his 100th official match in a Trabzonspor jersey.
  • Before the match, Goztepe’s para-athlete Busra Un was honored for her championship in the Turkish Para Archery Championship, receiving flowers from Goztepe’s Olympic Branches Sports Director, Deniz Durmaz. Busra posed for photos with some of the Goztepe players.

A moment of silence was held before the game for the victims of the recent terrorist attack targeting Turkish Aerospace Industries.
