Graeme Souness Believes Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk Could Join Real Madrid Next Season
Former Liverpool midfielder Graeme Souness believes that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk could be on their way to Real Madrid next season.
Souness, who also had a coaching stint with Galatasaray, has suggested that Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool remains uncertain as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season. Speaking on William Hill’s new podcast Three Up Front, Souness speculated that the 25-year-old defender might have already informed the club of his intention to leave, with Real Madrid as a potential destination.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold is a player who would be a perfect fit for Real Madrid in terms of his style of play. He has a great passing ability and is also good friends with Jude Bellingham. He could go to Madrid, and that message may have already been sent to Liverpool,” Souness said.
