HAMILTON: “THE CAR WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE IN QUALIFYING!”

Lewis Hamilton described the W15 car as a complete nightmare during the American GP qualifying.

Hamilton finished 18th in the Austin qualifying session, behind his former teammate Valtteri Bottas. The seven-time world champion explained that an issue during the sprint race led to changes being made to the car between sessions. Speaking to Sky Sports, Hamilton said, “We had some kind of issue with the front suspension on the formation lap in the sprint race, and it continued throughout the race.”

“This made the car’s balance really terrible.”
“So we changed a few things on the car. We did what we needed to do yesterday, but the car was a complete nightmare in qualifying.”
“I’ll probably have to start from the pit lane; otherwise, I won’t be able to move forward from where I am,” he said.
