Harry Kane Criticizes England Squad Dropouts Ahead of Nations League Matches

Prior to their Nations League matches against Greece and the Republic of Ireland, England captain Harry Kane expressed his displeasure with the recent wave of player departures from the group. Due to a variety of injuries, eight players have chosen to sit out, including important players like Aaron Ramsdale, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Jack Grealish.

Some players might have “taken advantage” of the circumstance, putting club obligations ahead of playing for the national team, Kane said. Playing for England “comes before anything,” Kane emphasized, underscoring the importance of dedication to the Three Lions.

Lee Carsley, the interim manager in charge of the team for these games until Thomas Tuchel comes over, now faces this issue. Carsley is still focused and believes the club will do well in the next games in spite of the setbacks.
