Historic agreement from Fenerbahce: Stadium name changes for record money

Fenerbahce has begun searching for a new sponsor as the stadium naming sponsorship will end in 2025. Fenerbahce Club President Ali Koc aims for record revenue from the naming rights with a 10-year agreement. The stadium naming sponsorship agreement with Ulker will conclude in 2025. While it has been stated that Ulker is not considering making a new offer, Ali Koc’s goal is to bring record income to Fenerbahce’s coffers.

According to a report in Sozcu, Ali Koc is also negotiating with international companies for the naming sponsorship and is planning a 10-year agreement.

Koc expects a total sponsorship revenue of 100 million dollars from this deal.

Ulker acquired the naming rights for the stadium for 90 million dollars for 10 years during Aziz Yildirim’s presidency in 2015. If Ali Koc can finalize an agreement for this amount, it would be a higher sum than the one signed during Aziz Yildirim’s era. When Fenerbahce signed the agreement with Ulker, the dollar exchange rate was at 2.6 TL. The report indicates that Aziz Yildirim and the management received this amount upfront with some deductions at the time. If the current management can finalize the 100 million dollar agreement and receive the payment upfront, it will mean an inflow of 3.4 billion TL at the current exchange rate. This amount represents one-fourth of Fenerbahce’s debt, which stands at around 12 billion TL.
