The iconic stadium will undergo massive modernization, with most of the upgrades set to be completed within two months. Equipped with Europe’s most advanced lighting system and state-of-the-art acoustics, Ulker Stadium is poised to stand among the top football venues in Europe.
The meeting point for Fenerbahce fans, the historic Ulker Stadium is being prepared for a transformation, thanks to a comprehensive series of modernization projects introduced by the club’s new management. These projects are nearing completion, aiming to elevate the stadium to European standards.
THREE MAJOR PHASES OF RENOVATION
After extensive planning throughout the summer, Fenerbahce’s management board decided on a three-phase project to enhance the stadium’s infrastructure. The first step involves upgrading the lighting and sound systems, followed by increasing the capacity behind the goals. The new lighting and sound systems are expected to be completed within two months, while permits for the seating upgrades are awaited.
MESMERIZING LIGHTING ACROSS THE STADIUM
The current conventional lighting system at Fenerbahce Ulker Stadium will be replaced with ultra-modern LED and membrane technology. The stunning new lighting setup is expected to be completed within a month, turning every match into a visual spectacle.
ACOUSTICS TO BOOST HOME ADVANTAGE
In collaboration with D&B, one of the world’s leading firms in sound systems, Fenerbahce will install cutting-edge sound infrastructure throughout the stadium. Once completed, the project will create an atmosphere that energizes Fenerbahce’s players and fans while intensifying pressure on opponents. This is also scheduled for completion within the next two months.
STANDING SECTION AT ‘OKUL ACIK’
The lower section behind the goal, known as ‘Okul Acik’, will be modified to increase capacity by 20%. The project will introduce standing areas with foldable seats, ready for use once necessary permits are obtained. This will give Fenerbahce an even greater home advantage by boosting crowd intensity.
SPECIAL LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY
The lighting renovation at the Sukru Saracoglu Sports Complex will utilize Philips smart LED technology, offering 45% energy savings and up to 40 times longer lifespan. The contractor, Signify, noted that light shows will be more captivating, with the membrane area equipped with dynamic lighting capable of displaying 16.7 million color options.
