Horner stated, “If the roles were reversed, we would ask Max to give the position back.”

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said the battle between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen was tough but fair.

Horner noted that Norris gained an advantage by going off track, and Max immediately noticed it.

He also highlighted Ferrari’s strong performance during the race, expressing that the team did not achieve enough race pace over the weekend. After the race, Horner said, “There was a fierce battle between Max and Lando. They went off track, and Lando made an overtake from the outside. Max quickly warned over the radio.”

“I can understand the disappointment. The drivers know the rules. When Lando crossed the white line, Max noticed it immediately. There had also been a track limits violation prior to that.”

“If the roles were reversed, would we ask Max to give the position back? Yes, because Lando had a 6-lap tire advantage.”

“Ferrari was fast throughout the weekend, and we should congratulate them for their dominant performance. We gave the car too much front-end grip with the setup change we made after the sprint. There was an area where we fell short in terms of race pace.”

“Liam Lawson jumped into the race like a veteran, and I think he should be very pleased with his performance,” he added.
