Ibrahim Toraman’s confession about Galatasaray! “5-0 will definitely reflect on this match”
Former Besiktas player Ibrahim Toraman made assessments ahead of the derby between Galatasaray and the black-and-white team.
Pointing out the star players in Galatasaray’s attacking line, Ibrahim Toraman said, “Both Osimhen and Icardi are very dangerous players. Especially since they will be playing at home with the support of their fans, Besiktas needs to be very careful. When they get the ball in the penalty area, they are highly capable of converting that into a goal.”
He stated that Besiktas should build their game plan around Rafa Silva, saying, “When we look at Besiktas, I think Rafa is a very important player. The game plan should be evaluated accordingly. When he is in the center, he can connect with the front, right, and left with high-quality passes.”
Ibrahim Toraman emphasized that Besiktas could exploit Galatasaray’s weaknesses, stating in an interview with A Spor:
“Okan Hoca will definitely start with the intention to win. If Besiktas can catch a weakness with quick transitions, they can achieve a good score. Besiktas has that quality.”
Highlighting that the result from the Super Cup would provide extra motivation for Galatasaray, Ibrahim Toraman said, “The 5-0 result from the Super Cup will definitely reflect on this match. Because it’s not 1-0 or 2-0; it’s 5-0. Derbies already give you extra motivation. That 5-0 score will also serve as extra motivation.”
Finally, he mentioned Giovanni van Bronckhorst, stating, “Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been doing well since he arrived. I believe that once he finds the right formation, Besiktas will progress much further. Both the coach and the team have the potential.”
