Riccardo Calafiori Regrets Mikel Arteta Celebration During Arsenal’s 2-2 Draw Against Manchester City

Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori has expressed regret over the way he celebrated his first goal for the club during their 2-2 draw with Manchester City. The Italian international scored a stunning top-corner goal at the Etihad last month and erupted into an animated celebration, pointing in various directions before embracing manager Mikel Arteta.

However, the 22-year-old, who joined from Bologna in the summer, has now admitted he feels “embarrassed” about his overly enthusiastic reaction.

“You couldn’t play a more difficult game than this. When he [Gabriel Martinelli] played the ball to me, I just say now I want to shoot in the top bins, you call it like this? Or in the corner.
