It’s Crazy’ – Liverpool Criticized for Failing to Secure Trent Alexander-Arnold

With speculation of a possible transfer to Real Madrid, Ian Wright and Roy Keane have expressed their shock that Liverpool was unable to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold to a new deal. The right-back’s current contract is scheduled to expire at the end of the current campaign. Starting in January, he will have the opportunity to negotiate and sign a pre-contract with overseas clubs.

A vital member of Liverpool’s team who has made over 300 appearances for the team and won every major trophy, Alexander-Arnold has been a huge contributor to the team’s success. Wright and Keane are both shocked that Liverpool has let him have an uncertain future.

What Roy Keane and Ian Wright Said

“I don’t think anything will happen in January, especially with the way Liverpool has started the season,” Wright said in an interview with ITV. However, I think it’s absurd that FSG and Liverpool have let this to continue. Trent’s accomplishments with Liverpool, including his victories in the FA Cup, Premier League, and Champions League, are astounding for a player from his hometown. He is currently in the final year of his contract and has won everything.”

Keane concurred, saying, “At this point, Trent is in charge of the circumstance. Although it would be nice to assume Liverpool is attempting to extend his contract, he will probably go. It’s also a wonderful option to have if Real Madrid is available.”
