More than a decade has passed since French center Joffrey Lauvergne left Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, but his connection to the club remains strong, and many fans still hope for his return. The 33-year-old veteran shares that same desire.
“I’ve always said that I want to come back to Partizan one day, and I still keep the same feeling,” Joffrey Lauvergne stated during an appearance on Mozzart Sport’s show, Timeout. “I already let all the people from the club know about it. So far, they haven’t shown any interest. But I’m a free agent next summer, so who knows? Maybe.”
Joffrey Lauvergne was a pivotal figure in Partizan’s history, becoming the first foreign captain of the team. He played for the club from 2012 to 2014 and helped secure the ABA League championship in 2013. His leadership and contribution during that period remain a highlight in Partizan’s history.
Lauvergne’s connection with Partizan is clear, and although the club has not yet shown interest in bringing him back, the possibility of his return remains open as he will be a free agent next summer. The Partizan fanbase, still nostalgic about his time with the team, continues to dream of his reunion with the club.
