The Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko has continued his goal-scoring streak this season in front of the Fenerbahce crowd, netting goals against Adana Demirspor, Alanyaspor, and Galatasaray, following his performance in the final Istanbul game of last season. Dzeko also found the net in the Bodrum match, making it five consecutive home games with goals for Fenerbahce. With goals in the last home game of last season against Istanbulspor and four home games this season, he joins Max Kruse, Vedat Muriqi, and Semih Senturk as only the fourth player since 2007-08 to achieve this feat.
After the match, Dzeko remarked, “In my opinion, we still need to grow as a team.” He addressed his all-around contributions beyond scoring by saying, “Throughout my career, I’ve always played for the team. People tend to focus solely on the goals, but there’s hard work behind those moments. Goals are the reward for that effort. I also help defensively, and that’s why Fenerbahce brought me here.”
