Kai Havertz Says He’s “Grown Up” Since Arsenal Move
Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz feels like he’s matured since his move from Chelsea, leaving behind a rocky spell at Stamford Bridge. The German international, who joined the Gunners in 2023, faced criticism during his inconsistent Chelsea days, but he’s proving doubters wrong with his impressive form in north London.
Finding His Feet After a Tough Start
Havertz had a slow start at Arsenal, but he turned things around toward the end of the season, racking up 13 goals and seven assists in the Premier League. Now, he’s continuing that momentum into the new season with two goals and an assist in just five league matches. The 25-year-old believes he’s settled in well and is showing what he’s truly capable of.
What Havertz Had to Say
In an interview with Sky Sports, Havertz opened up about his journey: “I feel great, I feel very, very good. Arsenal for me is my home, I love to be here every day,” he shared. “When you go from a rival in London to another club and they pay big money for you, some people will doubt you. But I just knew my qualities, I believed in myself, and the manager and my team-mates helped me a lot.”
He credits his teammates and manager for being there for him during the tough times. “Everyone was there for me, ready to help, and that’s why at one point, it just started working. I think I grew up a lot; when things don’t go your way, you grow up as a person and as a player.”
A New Chapter for the German Star
It seems Havertz is thriving in the Arsenal setup, leaving his early struggles behind and growing both on and off the pitch. With a solid start to this season, he’s showing exactly why the Gunners invested in him—and why he feels right at home at the Emirates.
