Kenan Yıldız spoke to FIFA! 2026 World Cup, Arda Guler, National Team
Kenan Yıldız, a national player who plays for Italy’s Juventus, stated that they will participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, saying, “I hope we will be there and make everyone proud.”
In an interview on FIFA’s website, the 19-year-old Yildiz touched on various topics, including his performance with Juventus and the National Team, as well as his thoughts on the 2026 World Cup.
Sharing his feelings about the goal he scored against Germany in a national team jersey, the young player said, “I think everyone saw my emotions when I scored. You can’t even imagine something like this happening in a match between the two countries where I have played football my entire life. Hearing the crowd after the goal was amazing. It felt like the whole stadium was made up of Turkish fans.”
Emphasizing their desire to participate in the 2026 World Cup, Kenan added, “I hope we will be there and make everyone proud. Our fans would love to see that. I know they will do everything they can to be there because they are everywhere.”
Kenan highlighted that National Team Coach Vincenzo Montella has given him confidence, stating, “He was one of the first coaches who made me believe in myself. He gives us a lot of tactics but also wants me to play my game. I am very grateful to him.”
Talking about Arda Guler, who plays for Real Madrid, Kenan said, “Arda is a great player with a unique technique. His qualities are truly amazing. We have a very good relationship. I think we have a lot of fun whenever we are together in the national team. It’s great to be on the field with him, and I hope this continues for many years.”
Regarding the prospect of both him and Arda Guler participating in the World Cup, Kenan stated, “I have learned a lot about this and am excited about going to America for something new. We want to enjoy it and have a good tournament.”
Sharing his feelings about the national team, the young footballer said, “We believe in ourselves, we believe in our team, we believe in our fans. Every time I come to the national team, I feel at home. We are all together, and we are eager to achieve many things. I want to continue taking bigger steps. I want to make my parents proud, make myself proud, and make my country proud. This feeling is amazing.”
