Guidotti Leaves KTM Factory Racing Following Three Seasons
At the end of the 2024 MotoGP season, KTM Factory Racing team manager Francesco Guidotti will be leaving both his post and the squad. Guidotti joined KTM from Pramac Ducati at the beginning of the 2022 season and will be leaving after just three of his four contracted seasons have gone.
Though KTM has not formally said who would take Guidotti’s post as team manager, whispers among the paddock point to Aki Ajo, the founder and manager of Ajo Motorsport in Moto2 and Moto3, as a strong candidate.
KTM hopes for a fresh leadership style.
Commenting on Guidotti’s leaving, KTM Motorsport Director Pit Beirer said, “After three years with Francesco and a lot of positive progress in our working techniques, we are moving the team with a different leadership approach. We can truly thank Francesco for all he has done for our MotoGP tale; making these adjustments is never a simple procedure.
Beirer also made hints about significant changes ahead: “2025 will bring some big moves for the entire program in this close and we are now laying the foundations to continue to make steps forward.”
Under fresh leadership, KTM hopes to expand on its MotoGP performance as the team looks forward even more success and development in the next seasons.
