Leclerc on the championship: “I will believe in this until it becomes impossible.”

Charles Leclerc does not see his chances of winning the championship as impossible this season. He secured his third victory of the season by winning the race on Sunday, while Max Verstappen and Lando Norris finished third and fourth, respectively.

Leclerc is currently 79 points behind Verstappen in the championship and still has a slim chance of claiming the title. When asked about his chances of winning the drivers’ championship this year, Leclerc responded, “So, we should never say never.”

However, Leclerc acknowledged that Ferrari’s chances of becoming the constructors’ champion are much higher.

“If we do everything perfectly until the end of the season and are better than McLaren, we can achieve the championship.”

“As for the drivers’ championship, even if we do everything perfectly, we will need a bit of luck. But still, I will believe in this until it becomes mathematically impossible.”
