LECLERC: “WE CAN FIGHT FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2025”

Charles Leclerc believes that Ferrari can compete for the championship in 2025.

The Ferrari star driver thinks that the team, having overcome issues during the 2024 season, will be in a position to contend for the championship next season. With updates implemented during the latter part of the season, Ferrari aims to regain top performance in 2025.

Currently, Ferrari is in third place in the Constructors’ Championship, 75 points behind McLaren and 34 points behind Red Bull as they head into the last six races. Assessing the team’s development process in an interview with ESPN, Leclerc stated, “We start each season with the goal of winning the championship.”

“This should be Ferrari’s objective, and we are working very well as a team. The competition is quite fierce, with McLaren being especially impressive in the second half of this season.”

“But we are starting to understand many things and making significant gains. We need time to translate these into our car.”

“We are learning a lot and constantly evolving. If we can integrate these updates into the car, we can fight for the championship.”
