Lewis Hamilton was unable to finish the race at the America GP, as he spun out and became stuck in the gravel during just the third lap.

The Mercedes driver, who started the race in 17th place in Austin, managed to gain five positions at the start. However, during the third lap, he spun out at Turn 19—where George Russell had crashed in the qualifying rounds—and became stuck in the gravel, forcing him to retire from the race. After getting stuck, Hamilton responded to his race engineer Bono’s message on the team radio, which said, “Okay Lewis. I think you’re stuck there, buddy,” by saying, “I’m sorry, guys.”
