Linkin Park will Voice the Anthem for the LoL World Championship

Linkin Park will perform the official anthem for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, marking a significant comeback for the band after a seven-year hiatus. Riot Games confirmed the news after weeks of speculation fueled by interactions between the band’s social media posts and LoLEsports accounts.

The song, titled “Heavy Is the Crown”, will be featured throughout the tournament, with a live performance expected during the grand final, set to take place at London’s O2 Arena on November 2nd.

Linkin Park’s involvement follows in the footsteps of previous World Championship anthem performers, including Lil Nas X, Imagine Dragons, and NewJeans. The anthem will be released on Wednesday, October 25th, and fans can expect crown imagery to play a prominent role in the song’s promotion, in line with the tournament’s visual theme.

Let's gooooo it's a new dawn for Linkin Park! I'm digging the new vocalist, we don't have to treat her like a 'replacement', it's simply just a new era. And I personally think she's great. The Emptiness Machine is a great song, can't wait to see what else they'll come up with! I don't like League of Legends but they should appreciate the attention they get! :D
