Liverpool Told They Have ‘No Chance’ of Retaining Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid Looms as Liverpool’s Star Right-Back Enters Final Contract Months

Real Madrid is apparently leading the fight to sign right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, so Liverpool will have a difficult time holding onto him. The English player has become a top target for Real Madrid after playing a key role in Liverpool’s recent 1-0 Champions League triumph over RB Leipzig. Alexander-Arnold will soon be free to talk with international teams as his contract enters its last six months in January, making Liverpool susceptible to a possible exit.

According to reports, Real Madrid is trying to cover for Dani Carvajal, who may be out until October 2025 due to a knee injury. Although there is still pessimism, Liverpool manager Arne Slot is optimistic about negotiating a contract extension with Alexander-Arnold. Tim Sherwood, a Sky Sports analyst, voiced his worries about Liverpool’s ability to retain their star full-back, speculating that Alexander-Arnold would find it impossible to refuse Real Madrid’s advances if they come calling.
