Lonzo Ball Set to Return After Two-Year Hiatus

After missing the entirety of the past two seasons due to injury, Lonzo Ball is finally set to make his long-awaited return to the court this week.

According to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania, Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball will play in the NBA preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, October 16.

Chicago Bulls Vice President of Basketball Operations, Arturas Karnisovas, previously stated that Ball could be ready for the start of the 2024-25 NBA season.

Ball last appeared in an NBA game on January 14, 2022. Since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries due to a torn meniscus in his left knee, leading to an extended recovery period.

If Ball successfully returns for the new NBA season, he will make history as the first NBA player to come back after undergoing a cartilage transplant.
